IQF (Individual Quick Freezing) blast freezer construction is among the most demanding cold storage applications. -40°F operating temperature, rapid product freeze cycles measured in minutes, and substantial refrigeration plant capacity per square foot drive engineering well beyond standard frozen storage.
This project added the complexity of port-adjacent operations with FTZ (Foreign Trade Zone) designation and customs bonded operations integrated into facility workflow. The IQF blast freezer cells operate continuously processing import frozen protein for re-export markets, with cold chain integrity preserved across vessel-to-facility transfer, blast freeze cycles, and outbound truck loading.
